Intel's 18A process yield in Q2 2026 was approximately 80%, better than expected.
Ben Theriault noted in a research report that Intel's 18A node (corresponding to the Panther Lake product line) will achieve a yield rate of around 80% in Q2 2026. Additionally, the maximum yield rate for the large server CPU project (CWF) is projected at around 50%, compared to roughly 20% in June of this year.
Regarding Intel's 14A process, Ben Theriault estimates that monthly capacity will reach 6,000 wafers in 2027 and increase to 24,000 wafers in 2028.
Process Node Timing Forecast Monthly Capacity (Wafers/Month) Description / Key Source Points
18A End of 2026 Approx. 40,000 Interim milestone
18A End of 2027 Approx. 60,000 Predicted value in the report, serving as a mid-term volume ramp target
18A End of 2028 Approx. 80,000 Predicted value in the report, serving as a long-term target
14A End of 2027 Approx. 6,000 Predicted value in the report, serving as an initial capacity target for 14A
14A End of 2028 Approx. 24,000 Predicted value in the report, serving as a subsequent volume ramp target for 14A
